Whether in a team or individually, sports teach us a lot about ourselves. We learn not only about our skills, but also about our boundaries, which often lie much further away than we thought. Sports also help us overcome other kinds of boundaries - during Emil Open you have the opportunity to meet young people from all over Europe and see for yourself that despite barriers, physical or linguistic, we have so much in common and so much to share.

All these benefits sport offers to all of us, regardless of any handicap. I wish you all to always be able to make the most of them when moving and competing, and above all to enjoy sport.

And sport multiplies this joy - it brings the opportunity to "be together", to form a team, a group, or a community, as it is called today. I therefore have great respect for all those who spend their energy and effort to make the unique experiences associated with sport available to others.
