Competitions

Sports Schedule

Categories (10 – 26 years)

Open category supports and motivates beginners. It is open to everybody and there is no need to be registered in the National or International Federation. The competitions are held under modified International Rules and Regulations to fit such an event level. This category allows youth with a disability that are sport beginners or do sport recreationally to meet with their potential role models in the "big sporting world".

Mixed category supports inclusion of people with disabilities. It includes specific events for collectives of both disabled and able-bodied athletes. This category represents the inclusive mission of the project. Staff up to 26 years old are recommended and welcome to participate in these events.

Entry Conditions

One athlete can compete in one sport only.

The Games are open to athletes with disabilities (physical, visual, hearing, mental and combined disabilities) between the ages of 10 and 26. The condition is to reach the lower or upper age limit at any time during the year of the event (2025).

Venue:	Sports complex VUT Brno pod Palackého vrchem, Technická 3013/14, 616 00 Brno
Facilities:	A track-and-field complex with eight-track on an artificial surface, sectors with an artificial surface, time measurement by a camera. It is possible to wear track shoes with max. 0,8mm spikes. Warm-up takes places out of the racing surface in the complex.
Disciplines
OPEN categories:	- races and wheelchair races on the track: 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m - long jump without a run-up - long jump with a run-up - throw with the ball of 150 grams, 350 grams - shot put (from 15 years old): 3 kg for girls, 4 kg for boys
MIXED categories:	- relay of pairs – see competition rules

Games
OPEN category:	Participants play regardless of categories; those who did not pair up on the entry system will be paired up by the organiser with the rest of the players. The game schedule will be announced at the technical meeting.
MIXED category:	A team consists of 3 players: 2 disabled players (both entered in OPEN category) + a member of registered able-bodied staff or organiser´s volunteer; in the entry system, the players grouped up with a staff member and another disabled player based on their own choice; it will be possible to register for this category on the spot on 24th June. The competition will take place on 25th June. Capacity is 10 threes.
The organiser reserves the right to change or modify the Bocce rules if it is necessary for maintaining fair play.

Sports hall:	The venue has 5 competition courts with a wooden court floor. There will be a warm-up area with 3 courts. The venue is equipped with changing rooms, relax areas (possible to lay down), showers (will be equipped with shower chairs) and an accessible toilet.
Categories	The competition is open for categories BC1, BC2, BC3, BC4
No official classification is needed. It is up to each player (their coach, doctor, boccia referee, etc.) to “classify” themselves and enter a category according to their disability. If necessary, an EO 2022 referee will re-classify them at the venue prior to the start of the competition and will relocate them to the appropriate category. However, the competition is open only for players from 10 to 26 years old. More information
