Dear friends,
The European Youth Games for the Disabled are being held in Brno already for the sixth time. This international sport, but mainly social meeting of young people with a disability has attained considerable popularity with both domestic and foreign competitors. These Games are an amazing crossover between two worlds where the will and enthusiasm of the athletes with a disability inspire us all.
I am proud and I extremely appreciate that the South Moravian Region is the partner of the Emil Open. The support of such events is a matter of course for the South Moravian Region not only this year, but also in the future.
I want to thank everyone who helped with the organisation of this event and I look forward to meeting all the athletes and experiencing the atmosphere that will take over Brno. To the competitors I wish good luck, and to the spectators unforgettable and exciting sport experience. I believe that you will be happy to return to South Moravia even in the years to come.
