At the meetings of the governors (18. 2. 2020) who supported Summer European Youth Games for the Disabled Emil Open there was accepted a decree:
"The Association of Regions of the Czech Republic grants a long-term patronage of the European Open Games for disabled youth Emil Open with a recommendation to the regions to provide financial support for this event, organized by Emilova sportovní, z.s."
The meetings of the governors were preceded by the visit of the President of Emil Open Pavel Zbožínek at the meeting of the Commission of the Association of Regions of the Czech Republic for Social Affairs and the Commission for Education and Sport, both of which issued a favorable opinion.
“We are very pleased. Although this recommendation does not automatically mean support from individual regions, we firmly believe that most of them will be financially involved, ” Pavel Zbožínek comments and adds,"last year Emil Open were supported by 8 out of 14 regions and we firmly believe that this number will increase. Our request for individual governors was clear - contribution to accommodation and meals of participants from their region. Most of them are children and adolescents from different types of schools and social facilities, and for many of them finances are the reason for the forced absence from games. That's why we pay all the costs,”explains president of the organizational team.
