Emil Open is supported also by famous Czech personalities. Jan Kraus is traditionally one of them. He has been supporting the Emil Open Games since their beginning, and last year he came to Brno to support them in person. „There is no doubt that the Games have good and useful purpose,“ said Jan Kraus about the Games.
He says the European Youth Games for the Disabled are special and important because this issue is still provoking inhibitions and distrust among people. „It is one of very few top-level sporting events for disabled youth,“ he added.
He jokes that gossiping is the discipline he is best at. „I will try single this year,“ said Kraus. He thinks that coming to support the disabled athletes can be an inspiring experience for the spectators. „People are sometimes encouraged only by looking at the will and determination of the athletes. Some people realise that they have no handicap, that they are making them in their heads,“ Jan Kraus closes his talking.
