Petr Vokřál, Mayor of the City of Brno

The city has been involved in supporting the European Youth Games for the Disabled already last year and I am glad that organizers have received subsidy of 1 million Czech crowns this year as well. It is an extraordinary event that combines disabled and healthy young people into what they share and what they all enjoy – sport. I believe that this event will come back in the future too, because the enrichment it brings to all of us is unquestionable and it is personally very inspiring for me to meet people who get over obstacles.
