Brno is already preparing to welcome the participants of Emil Open 2018. On Tuesday, March 20, the organizers have opened the second round of registration. This registration is binding. Almost 1000 participants showed their interest in the Europen Youth Games for the Disabled during the pre-registration.
The second round of registration will be closed on April 30. This year, the record in the number of participants might be broken. The organizers launch the second round of registration today. This round will reveal particular names as well. The organization do not report only the number of athletes, but also their names and further information. Also, they choose the sports they will participate in.
Young athletes from all around the Europe will compete in athletics, swimming, bocca, boccia, table tennis, and golf. There will be also sports that are not included in the official programme, such as basketball, rugby, wheelchair floorball, or equestrian paravaulting.
The focus group of Emil Open is youth with disabilities – physical handicaps, visual defects, hearing defects, mental handicaps, and with combined disabilities – from 10 to 26 years of age. This year’s Games start on June 6 and finish on Sunday, June 10.
