There are only few days left until the seventh year of Emil Open. We are looking forward to meeting all the teams and sport fans in Brno. But there is a question, how to get here? One of the options is by the Czech Railways, which are a partner of Emil Open. They are in charge of transporting the participants (crews, participants, and people who accompany them) in the Czech Republic to the event site and back.
ČD (Czech Railways) is the only carrier who is able to transport people with limited ability to move in such big numbers, and is investing into the railways carriages equipment so they fulfil the standards of such transportation. People accompanyingn severe health disability card holder are entitled to the transportation free of chargé in the 2nd class. For SC Pendolina they need to buy only seat. Booking of transportation of a person on wheelchair of with limited ability to move is possible via website www.cd.cz (left bottom side, button Book transportation of a wheelchair user or an assistance), at any railway station, by phone call, or by e-mail at the Contact Centre of Czech Railways. Search for connections is a part of the booking.
„The system is meant for transportation of wheelchair users of booking of an assistance. If only the assistance is needed, it is necessary to check the “assistance required“ button and write the request,“ adds Jiří Ješeta, Department of Passenger Transport Sales director. This request, however, is not a transportation ticket.
